CEBRI, in partnership with the Institute for Climate and Society (iCS) and sponsored by Siemens Energy, is holding a strategic dialogue on the role of the expanded BRICS in global climate leadership.
Brazil's presidency of BRICS in 2025 presents a pivotal opportunity to promote solutions that balance economic development with ecological sustainability. The event will bring together leaders from the public, private, financial, and civil society sectors to debate how the bloc can boost investments in climate, energy, agriculture, and digital transformation, with a focus on building cross-sectoral and durable coalitions.
With new expanding its energy and economic diversity, the enlarged BRICS now reflects the main challenges and opportunities of the global energy transition. The meeting's agenda is organized around three central s—Energy, Sustainable Digital Transformation, and Food Security—as well as talks dedicated to mobilizing private finance and creating climate cooperation mechanisms.
The dialogue will help position Brazil as a leader in articulating inclusive and collaborative climate leadership on the road to post-COP30.
