"Climate Change in Focus: from the Global Agenda to National Policy" offers an opportunity to be introduced and updated on the main dimensions of the climate agenda in the world and in Brazil. 6u691x

Covering a range of content from the global agenda to national policy, the course includes the current state of the climate and its future projections based on the IPCC and IPBES reports, a background to the environmental and climate agenda in the main global forums, such as the UN Conferences, COPs and the G20, an analysis of international agendas, such as the Sustainable Development Goals, and national commitments, such as the NDCs, as well as climate finance, environmental justice, rights of nature and Brazilian climate policy.

In eight online meetings, the course offers lessons with experts from different fields of knowledge, and it covers the science, politics and economics of climate, as well as its impacts on society and international relations. It will take place on March 6, 11, 13, 18, 20, 25 and 27 and April 1, 2024, at 7pm.

The lectures include material, chat for interaction, access to the recorded content for a year and a set of references to follow and stay up to date on the subject.
